    Hydraulic Technician / Engineer – HEV Utility Workshop

    Location: Ogijo, Ogun

    Position Summary

    • A Hydraulic Technician in an HEV Utility Workshop specializes in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of hydraulic systems and components found in hybrid electric vehicles.
    • This role requires a strong understanding of hydraulic principles alongside knowledge of HEV technology to ensure efficient operation and safety of hydraulic systems integrated with hybrid powertrains.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems such as hydraulic pumps, actuators, valves, and cylinders used in HEV utility vehicles.
    • Troubleshooting: Diagnose hydraulic system failures or inefficiencies, using specialized diagnostic tools and techniques. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams for integrated system troubleshooting.
    • Installation & Calibration: Install and calibrate hydraulic components in hybrid utility vehicles, ensuring proper integration with electrical and mechanical systems.
    • Safety Compliance: Ensure all hydraulic work complies with safety standards and workshop protocols, especially considering 12 & 24-voltage HEV environments.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and system modifications. Provide technical reports and feedback for continuous improvement.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, service technicians, and quality control teams to support vehicle diagnostics, upgrades, and warranty work.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Diploma or certification in Hydraulic Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
    • Experience working with hydraulic systems, preferably in automotive or HEV applications.
    • Knowledge of hydraulic schematics, pneumatic systems, and fluid power principles.
    • Understanding of hybrid electric vehicle systems and safety protocols.
    • Proficient in using hydraulic diagnostic and repair tools.
    • Ability to read technical manuals and interpret technical drawings.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

    Work Environment:

    • Workshop setting with exposure to hybrid electric vehicles and heavy machinery.
    • Must adhere to strict safety standards due to high-pressure hydraulic systems and 12&24-voltage components.
    • Hands-on, physical work involving lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
