HVAC Technician at Figorr

Role Summary

• We’re seeking a skilled HVAC Technician with a strong background in system troubleshooting, calibration of environmental sensors, and computer proficiency. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of field experience and must be comfortable working in tech-enabled environments. A university degree is not required—we value practical experience and a problem-solving mindset.

This role will include training on how to diagnose and troubleshoot Figorr’s custom-built sensors and monitoring systems used in cold chain applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems used in temperature-sensitive environments.
• Calibrate and install environmental sensors for temperature and humidity monitoring.
• Learn and support the troubleshooting of Figorr sensors and IoT monitoring devices at customer locations.
• Work closely with the IoT and support team to integrate HVAC systems with Figorr’s monitoring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on cold rooms, refrigeration units, chillers, and related equipment.
• Accurately document maintenance, sensor calibration, and troubleshooting reports using digital tools and Figorr’s platform.
• Assist in the deployment of monitoring solutions in warehouses, transport vehicles, and cold chain facilities.
• Provide technical feedback to help improve Figorr’s sensor reliability and customer experience.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with HVAC installation, maintenance, and repairs.
• Strong understanding of cold chain systems, including refrigeration cycles and cold room dynamics.
• Experience with sensor calibration and eagerness to learn IoT troubleshooting.
• Proficient in the use of computers, mobile devices, and web-based reporting tools.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Experience with temperature mapping for cold chain validation is a plus.
• Certifications in HVAC, refrigeration, or technical trades are an advantage but not required.
