Human Resource Officer at a Startup Scientific Company

Job Description: 

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with our business goals
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, onboarding, and talent development
• Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture
• Oversee performance management, employee relations, and compliance
• Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning and organizational development
• Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality. 
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are current and compliant with labour laws and internal standards 
• Oversee daily administrative operations, and support internal communications and help foster a positive and productive office culture 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience in an HR role (startup or tech experience a plus)
• Strong background in HR and affiliation or membership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) and other relevant bodies is an added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
• Candidates must be between the ages of 30 and 35
