    HSE Officer

    1. Design and implement Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programme that align with regulatory and company’s requirements.
    2. Demonstrate broad knowledge of industry best practice and safety standards in order to maintain operational integrity and safety excellence always.
    3. Support the Location In-Charge to design accident prevention safety programs and create an atmosphere that fosters worker participation and zero injuries.
    4. Support the workforce and line heads to implement HSE standards in line with the Company’s HSE Policy, Procedures and Systems.
    5. Establish and implement oil spill prevention and control plan.
    6. Establish and implement site-specific emergency response plan, supporting the Location In-Charge to plan and conduct periodic emergency drill.
    7. Perform risk assessments and job safety analyses (JSA) to proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with rig operations.
    8. Develop educational and awareness training programme to communicate HSE procedures, emergency response plan, safety alerts, lessons learnt, material safety data, process hazard information, and safety plan to workforce.
    9. Conduct regular inspections and periodic audit.
    10.  Collate, prepare and submit HSE performance metrics to the Head of HSE.

    OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

    1. Completed NYSC
    2. Computer literate (Power Point, Excel and MS Word)
    3. HSE Level 3 (Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria) and/or IOSH, NEBOSH certificate(s)
    4. Young, passionate and talented
    5. Understanding of Fire Protection in line with NFPA standards and local fire safety regulations
    6. Knowledge of First Aid and CPR
    7. Proactive, self-starter with excellent communication and analytical skills
    8. Ability to commute to the place of assignment daily
    9. Ability to carry out inspection, incident investigation and facility audit
    10. Understanding of road safety
    11. Good reporting and organisational skills
