HSE Officer at Benin Electricity Distribution Plc. (BEDC)

Job Description

• Conduct HSE Training programs
• Ensure compliance obligations with HSE Regulations
• Compile and maintain Incident/Accident Register
• Investigate and present Reports of all incidents/accidents as required
• Identify hazardous wastes/Substances and disposing them according to environmental guidelines
• Enforce compliance with the Company’s PPE Policy
• Implement preventative measures to ensure unsafe processes do not reoccur
• Conduct Safety Meetings, Tool-box, and Pep-talks at regular intervals.
• Conduct emergency evacuation/response procedures.
• Conduct risk assessment
• Perform any other duty that may be assigned.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in the role or similar roles
• Membership of ISPON is compulsory. Other Professional certification are added advantage.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
