Salary: NGN 300,000 – NGN 400,000 (Gross)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies on construction sites. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, promote a safe working environment, and minimize workplace risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies and procedures
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
• Monitor and report on safety performance and incidents
• Organize safety training and toolbox meetings for site workers
• Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain HSE documentation and reports

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry as an HSE Officer
• Relevant certification in Health, Safety & Environment (NEBOSH or equivalent is an advantage)
• Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Ability to identify hazards and implement preventive measures
• Strong attention to detail and leadership skills
