A reputable School in Ibadan is looking to fill the following positions:

House Parents: Male/Female / A Couple

Matron

House parents must be able to handle issues relating to personal care, boarding accommodation, meals, study, recreation and weekend activities of children and adolescents, under the guidance of the management in a boarding establishment. 

Requirements:

House Parents must :

• Have concern for the wellbeing of young people
• Have understanding of students' needs and cultural differences
•  Have a sense of responsibility
• Have good leadership skills
• Have good communication and organisational skills
• Must have experience working in this capacity in an international School
• Be able to work closely with others in a community setting
• Couples must be legally married 
• Must have a minimum of 2 traceable references

School matron must be able to look after the health and wellbeing of pupils in boarding schools.

Requirements:

• A warm and sympathetic personality.
• Tact and good listening skills.
• The ability to deal with emergencies calmly.
• Excellent communication and 'people' skills.
• The ability to work in a team.
• Patience and a sense of humour.
• Minimum of three years of parental experience in a learning environment. Should be able to work under pressure and work beyond normal working hours including weekends.
• The applicant should also have an interest in learners’ affairs holistically and spiritually. Must have three traceable references.
