Hematology Nursing Officer

- Qualification BA/BSc/HND
- Experience 2 years
- Location Abuja
- Job Field Medical / Healthcare
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients with haematological conditions (e.g., sickle
- cell disease, anaemia, leukemia, clotting disorders)
- Monitor and document patient vitals, progress, and response to treatment
- Assist in administering blood products and chemotherapy as prescribed
- Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment plans
- Support haematologists during procedures and follow-up care
- Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing records and reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds and patient care reviews
Qualifications and requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Nurse(RN) qualification
- Post-basic qualification or proven experience in Haematology Nursing is an added advantage
- Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in a hospital
- Valid practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
- Strong clinical and communication skills
