Hematology Nursing Officer at Cedarcrest Hospitals

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients with haematological conditions (e.g., sickle
• cell disease, anaemia, leukemia, clotting disorders)
• Monitor and document patient vitals, progress, and response to treatment
• Assist in administering blood products and chemotherapy as prescribed
• Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment plans
• Support haematologists during procedures and follow-up care
• Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing records and reports
• Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds and patient care reviews

Qualifications and requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Nurse(RN) qualification
• Post-basic qualification or proven experience in Haematology Nursing is an added advantage
• Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in a hospital
• Valid practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
• Strong clinical and communication skills
