    Heavy Machinery Equipment Trainer

    About the Role

    • We are recruiting a Heavy Machinery Equipment Trainer to join a railway construction project in Nigeria.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for training local operators, ensuring the correct use, safe operation and basic maintenance of heavy machinery used in the project.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan, prepare and deliver theoretical and practical training sessions on the operation of heavy machinery (e.g. excavators, bulldozers, loaders, motor graders, dumpers, among others);
    • Ensure that all trainees understand and apply safety standards and operating procedures;
    • Assess the performance of operators and identify additional training needs;
    • Prepare training reports, assessment forms and attendance records;
    • Ensure the correct use of equipment during training and report any anomalies;
    • Collaborate with the HSE and Operations teams to align working methods and best practices.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a heavy machinery operator or technician, with a strong practical component;
    • Previous experience as a trainer will be valued;
    • Solid knowledge of operational safety and basic equipment maintenance;
    • Ability to communicate and teach clearly and practically;
    • Availability to work in Nigeria on a rotational basis;
    • Fluency in English (preferred).
