    Head Teacher

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and leadership to a school, ensuring they operate effectively and achieve their educational goal.
    • Academic Excellence: Foster a culture of academic excellence, curriculum development, and instructional quality across the school.
    • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise school academic and administrative staff, promoting professional growth and performance excellence.
    • Educational Policies: Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with local regulations and educational standards, ensuring compliance and quality.
    • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Oversee budgeting processes, allocate resources effectively, and ensure financial sustainability and accountability across the school.
    • School Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, analyze data, and implement evidence-based strategies to enhance student outcomes.
    • Safety and Welfare: Ensure the safety, well-being, and welfare of students and staff through appropriate policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
    • External Partnerships: Collaborate with external organizations, educational institutions, and government entities to establish beneficial partnerships and enhance educational opportunities.
    • Reporting and Evaluation: Prepare regular reports on school performance, present findings to stakeholders, and implement evaluation mechanisms to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
    • A Master’s Degree would be an advantage
    • Extensive experience in educational leadership, including previous roles as a head of school, director of studies, or sectional leader
    • In-depth knowledge of educational policies, regulations, and best practices
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
    • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
    • Familiarity with technology integration and innovative educational approaches
    • Financial acumen and experience in budgeting and resource management.

    Essentials: The right candidate must be domiciled in Lagos and familiar with the educational landscape of Lagos.
