Job Summary:

• The Head, Strategy and Business Development is responsible for leading the development, execution, and monitoring of the company’s long-term business strategy initiatives. This role will focus on identifying growth opportunities, driving strategic projects, ensuring alignment across business units, and facilitating organizational adaptation to market trends and industry shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the formulation of short, medium, and long-term business strategies aligned with the company’s vision and objectives.
• Collaborate with senior management to analyze market trends, competitor performance, and internal performance metrics.
• Develop actionable insights and recommendations for business expansion, revenue diversification, and competitive advantage.
• Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential opportunities for business growth and areas of risk.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic indicators to inform strategic decisions.
• Analyze competitor strategies and recommend adjustments to the company’s positioning.
• Oversee strategic projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure key initiatives are executed effectively and deliver on strategic objectives.
• Track progress on key performance indicators (KPIs) and adapt strategies as necessary.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and investment initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Business Development team to assess and prioritize new markets or services.
• Drive the development of new revenue streams by identifying innovative business models.
• Engage with key internal and external stakeholders, including executives, investors, and partners, to communicate the company’s strategy.
• Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations for board meetings, investor updates, and key business reviews.
• Lead the Business Strategy team and ensure continuous learning, development, and alignment with the company’s goals.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and performance excellence across the strategy function.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure strategic initiatives are financially viable and supported by a robust budget.
• Develop financial models to project growth scenarios and assess ROI for strategic projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in strategy, business development, management consulting, or a similar role.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing business strategies that drive growth and profitability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable strategies.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering high-level reports to senior executives.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in financial modeling, data analysis, and market research techniques.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
