Head, Solar Systems Divisions at PowerCap Limited

Job Summary

• Oversee Powercap’s solar solutions including Large Scale Solar, Local Manufacturing and Home Systems.
• You would lead our Solar Market activities including manufacturing, sales, installations, operations, and maintenance with key focus on profitability and optimum utilisation of resources while ensuring the health and safety of staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, manage, co–ordinate, and direct PowerCap’s Solar Business Initiatives
• operations and maintenance of machinery.
• Lead business exploration initiatives to establish the PowerCap Solar Brand as a leader in all solar markets’ segments particularly for critical application and grid connection.
• Oversee production and assembling of components required in installations and maintenance activities.
• Evaluate efficiency and determine adequacy of personnel, equipment and technologies used, and make changes to work schedule or equipment when necessary.
• Oversee project implementation starting from the client need analysis, to after sales support activities and provide expertise as required.
• Identify performance optimisation opportunities to enhance bottom line financial benefits.
• Prepare reports for review of all segments of the business by Top Management.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Managing Director / CEO.

Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of Ten (10) years demonstrated operating experience in mining operations and maintenance practices.

Skills And Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of Solar Power Project development, Production of components mining operations, production, maintenance, process control and health and safety management.
• Commercial acumen and experience regarding how to maximise the financial returns of solar energy project including the ability to manage contracts effectively and to compile and manage budgets and operating costs.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Able to supervise in-house capability to design, install, finance and maintain solar power
• You would be responsible for all large scale solar critical/oi application projects
• Commitment to Quality Management, Safety and Environment regulations
• Good data gathering and analysis skills.
• Baseline problem analysis and solving skills.
• Creativity and an ability to think out of the box.
