    Head, Public Sector

    The Ideal Candidate

    • Ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and drive the public sector banking strategy by cultivating and managing customers within assigned industry and providing a full spectrum of financial services to these clients to ensure a substantial contribution to the liquidity and profitability of the Bank and overall customer satisfaction.
    • The candidate should be on AGM position currently.

    Job Description
    Include:

    • Oversee and drive strategic business development and relationship management within the Public Sector Group (including the Federal Govt, State Government, Parastatals and Multilateral Agencies)
    • Cultivate revenue creation opportunities by ensuring clients are offered effective products and services that meet their business needs and ensure the provision of excellent relationship management.
    • Consistently explore the business environment and business referrals in order to identify, develop and close business/sales opportunities.
    • Frequently interact with government officials during the formulation and/or dissemination of related/sector policy issues affecting banks, banking system and the economy at large to enable the bank develop appropriate strategies that would enable it acquire maximum market share.
    • Create a platform for the coordination of Public Sector business in the Bank
    • Effectively lead and direct the Public Sector Team
    • Explore opportunities to create desired visibility for the bank in government circle.

    Person Specification / Job Profile
    Educational Qualification:

    • First Degree Training and Retraining on Strategic Leadership, Risk Management, Corporate Governance.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 15 years of managerial experience and exposure, which includes different aspects of sales functions.
