Head of Treasury is a senior-level position in VFD Microfinance Bank responsible for overseeing the financial activities of an organization. The primary responsibility of a Head of Treasury is to manage the organization's liquidity, cash flow, and financial risk. They work closely with the MD, CFO, and other senior executives to develop and implement strategies that optimize the organization's financial position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to manage the organization's liquidity, cash flow, and financial risk.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.
• Manage the organization's relationships with banks, investment managers, and other financial institutions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, analysts, and rating agencies.
• Monitor financial market trends and economic conditions to identify risks and opportunities.
• Manage the organization's debt portfolio, including issuing bonds and other debt instruments.
• Develop and implement cash management policies and procedures to optimize the use of the organization's cash resources.
• Monitor and analyze the organization's financial performance, and prepare reports for senior executives and the board of directors.
• Manage the organization's foreign currency exposure, including hedging strategies and risk management.
• Develop and maintain treasury policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with these policies across the organization.
• Manage the treasury team and ensure that all team members have the necessary skills and resources to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
• Participate in strategic planning activities, and provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
• Overall, the Head of Treasury plays a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and success of the organization by managing its financial resources effectively and strategically.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field is typically required for this role.
• Pofessional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) can be beneficial.
• 7+ years of experience in treasury, finance, or banking, with a track record of success in managing treasury operations, 3 years + preferably in a senior-level position.
• Knowledge of the banking industry and financial products/services.
