    Head of Terminal Operations

    The job holder is a management staff and provides strategic leadership for terminal operations in driving efficient and customer focused operations, whilst ensuring safe and world class operational standardsHe/she will report directly to the Director of Terminals; MEDLOG Nigeria.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lse and challenge the quality of terminal operations.
    • Continuously leads and directs terminal operations.
    • Oversees long and short-term terminal operations plans and objectives.
    • Advises MEDLOG’s executive management on terminal efficiency and investment opportunities.
    • Drives cost effective and best practice terminals operations for MEDLOG Nigeria.
    • Plays a leading role in the steering committee for new projects and initiatives, and responsible for timely delivery of project plans.
    • Prepares, gets approval for budget of own terminal.
    • Monitors and reports on budget utilization to executive management.
    • Drive cost effective solutions across the terminals.
    • Carries out all safety measures according to MEDLOG’s procedure and work instructions to prevent accidents and ensure staff at terminals, trucks drivers on site, comply with MEDLOG’s safety rules and policy.
    • Monitor, analyook for opportunities & improvements within daily work context and take ownership in implementing and driving solutions with team and executive.
    • Lead, coach and mentor team members

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline
    • Minimum 10-12 years of experience Port operations
    • Experience using Terminal Operating Systems (TOS)
    • Experience in budget management
    • Extensive knowledge of yard and gate planning
