Head of Section, Schools Support Services (HOS, SSS) at Edo State Government

Your objective

• The ideal candidate will be required to implement innovative solutions and methodology in teaching delivery, thereby elevating educational standards in the classroom to expand life options for learners, empower communities and shape the future for the next generation of Edo youth living in all 18 Local Government Areas of Edo State.

Key Roles

• Oversee Learning & Development Officers (LDOS) assigned to school cohorts at the Local Government Areas and Community levels
• Support Head and Class teachers in assigned LGAs
• Conduct daily visits to observe and provide feedback on teaching and learning processes
• Collaborate with Co-Curricular department to improve participation in co-curricular activities.

Qualification(s)
What you need to have:

• B.Ed., B.Sc., B.A., HND (PGDE is a requisite for non-education qualification)
• At least 5 years of cognate experience in training and development 3. Strong organizational and leadership skills
• A Master's Degree and Other Qualifications are added advantage
• Unless otherwise stated, possess a minimum of second-class lower degree
• Possess NYSC Certificate/Exemption Letter if required
• Be tech-savvy: comfortable using smartphones, tablets, email and able to maneuver through mobile IT systems/applications
• Not more than 40 years for Teachers and 50 years for Head of Sections (HOS) by December 31, 2024
• Possess excellent problem-solving, people management, verbal and written communication skills.
