JOB DESCRIPTION

• Create the long-term vision, strategy and roadmap for the company’s products
• Lead, build and grow a high performing team of Product Managers, Design, Customer Support and Developer Relations (including hiring, mentoring, development, etc.)
• Take responsibility for implementation and maintenance of product management best practices
• Closely collaborate with the leadership team in order to align on high level business requirements
• Drive a digital first approach to all Products
• Implement a clear vision for all Products, digital consumption and commercial proposition and viability
• Provide thought leadership internally and bring in best-in-class product development practices
• Develop the roadmap and prioritize execution with the delivery team
• Have full ownership of the Product roadmap and strategy, across multiple product designers and dev teams
• Deploy a customer-first approach, utilising data and feedback from across the business to optimise the product

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar course of study from a reputable university
• MBA is an added advantage
• Minimum of 7 years’ product management experience preferably as a Head of Product/ Product Lead / Senior Product Manager in a finance environment
• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience leading a product management team
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Innovation Leader Credential (CIL) or other Product Management certification would be an added advantage
• Proven track record designing and delivering consumer facing propositions
• Deep understanding of Agile principles and experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies
• Prior experience writing business requirements, user stories or functional specifications required

• Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products, as well as strong interest and understanding of technical architecture, and development tools
• Sound business case development and good knowledge of planning, monitoring, and controlling techniques
• Experience in market analysis and determining customers’ needs by obtaining market information
• A leader and a problem solver with a strategic mindset and ability to see projects through end to end.
• Deeply understand our products, how they are integrated, what our challenges are, and how we can build a market-leading offering.
• Ability to understand complex technical challenges and support the team in making the right decisions
• Comfortable working in large, cross-functional teams 
• Can produce high-quality market scans, competitor analyses and other reports as they are required
• A “self-starter” - willing to own all aspects of the product and the team
• Exacting attention to detail, picking up on the details that others miss
• Outstanding written and communication skills including a strong track record of cross-team and cross-client team participation
• An energetic, positive and innovative demeanor, with leadership and facilitation skills to bring projects to a successful delivery
