Head of Procurement at FiberOne Broadband

​​​​​​​Responsibilities

• Ensure that all vendors are registered in line with the procurement policy ·
• Create ,maintain pre-qualification questionnaires / Request for Information (RFI) / surveys / Request for Proposal (RFP) / Request for Quotation (RFQ) / auctions ·
• Maintain accurate and updated record of all vendors ·
• Lead the process of periodic vendor evaluation ·
• Review and monitor market/industry trends to guide decision making e.g. change in technology, prices, cost and liabilities) and make appropriate recommendations ·
• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements and ensure alignment with company's strategic goals Negotiate with external vendors for favourable terms ·
• Serve as secretary of vendor management committee. ·
• Forecast weekly, monthly and annual inventory purchases based on trends and budget. ·
• Budgeting- prepare and monitor project budget and annual budget providing explanations for variances ·
• Assist in periodic risk analyses to assess potential projects/investments

Qualifications

• Bacelors degree in Purchasing & Supply, Business management, Engineering with minimum of 5 years hands on experience ( telecoms experience added advantage)
• Proven experience with track record of successfully managing diverse teams and projects
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align Procurement initiatives with business goals to optimize cost without compromising quality
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Procifiency in use of Microsoft suite - MS word, Excel (Intermediate -Advanced), Power point
• Project management skills
• Great problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills,
