    Head of Payment

    Job Overview 

    • The Head of Payment will drive the strategic execution and growth of the organisation's payment services, which include digital wallets, bill payment, and transfer solutions. This role is pivotal in advancing our customer acquisition efforts, particularly targeting fintech partners and merchant aggregator platforms. The individual will focus on achieving active wallet targets and increasing transactional activity among both new and existing customer bases. The ideal candidate will employ innovative approaches to cross-sell payment services to users of other products of the organisation and deliver seamless, customer-centric payment solutions. 

    Key Responsibilities 

    Strategic Leadership 

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to meet and exceed annual targets with a strong focus on customer acquisition and retention. 
    • Drive initiatives that integrate payment services into other offerings of the organisation to enhance user experience and engagement. 
    • Establish and nurture partnerships with fintech companies, merchant aggregators, and other external stakeholders to broaden the reach and adoption of payment services. 

    Customer Acquisition & Engagement 

    • Identify and execute innovative methods to attract new users while maintaining strong engagement with existing customers. 
    • Lead efforts to deliver exceptional payment experiences that encourage repeat transactions and long-term loyalty.

    Business Development & Innovation 

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, Product, marketing, and customer experience, to design and roll out user-friendly payment features that align with market needs and drive wallet adoption. 
    • Engage with customers (existing & prospective) to articulate relevant product requirements for the development and deployment of streamlined solutions for merchant collections and payroll systems to enhance operational efficiency. 

    Performance Monitoring & Optimization 

    • Analyze market trends, user behavior, and performance data to refine strategies and maximize impact. 
    • Monitor the effectiveness of payment solutions and make data-driven decisions to achieve growth objectives. 

    Leadership & Team Management 

    • Lead and inspire a high-performing team to execute the payment strategy effectively. 
    • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration across the organization. 

    Qualifications & Skills 

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is an advantage). 8+ years of experience in payments, digital banking, or fintech solutions, with leadership roles in wallet and payment product management. 
    • Proven track record of driving payment service adoption and transaction growth. 
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data for decision-making. 
    • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. 
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute operational plans effectively.
