    Head of Operations

     

    Responsibilities:

    Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute the operational strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives of the experiential skincare brand.
    • Provide strategic guidance and direction to cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Align operational priorities with the brand’s vision and growth plans.
    • Identify market opportunities, drive innovation, and explore new channels or markets to expand the brands reach and revenue.

    Operations Management:

    • Oversee and optimize all aspects of operations, including production, supply chain, logistics, and distribution.
    • Implement lean management principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and best practices to optimize operational processes.
    • Implement efficient production planning processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality skincare products while optimising costs.
    • Manage the end-to-end supply chain, from sourcing raw materials to delivery to customers, to maximize efficiency and minimize lead times.
    • Establish operational performance metrics, targets, and KPIs to drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

    Financial Management:

    • Drive financial performance and profitability by effectively managing operational budgets, controlling costs, and optimising resources.
    • Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to provide insights and make data-driven decisions.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency without compromising quality.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
    • Foster a positive work environment that encourages innovation, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to drive individual and team success.

    Supplier and Partner Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, vendors, and logistics partners.
    • Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and identify strategic partnerships to support operational objectives and enhance value.
    • Collaborate with partners to ensure reliable and timely delivery of raw materials and components, maintaining consistent product quality.

    Quality Control and Compliance:

    • Establish and enforce rigorous quality control processes to ensure that all skincare products meet regulatory requirements and brand standards.
    • Monitor and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, certifications, and standards relevant to the skincare industry.

    Change Management and Innovation:

    • Drive change management initiatives to adapt operations to evolving market dynamics, consumer preferences, and business needs.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration and implementation of new technologies, processes, and best practices.
    • Identify and lead process improvement projects to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and optimize resource utilization.

    Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in business administration, operations management, supply chain management, or a related field.
    • Proven track record as a Head of Operations or in a similar executive leadership role within the skincare, cosmetics, or beauty industry.
    • Demonstrated expertise in managing end-to-end operations, including production, supply chain, logistics, and distribution.
    • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management, cost optimization, and financial analysis.
    • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and drive operational excellence.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
    • Proven experience in driving change, managing complex projects, and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
