As our Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing marketing strategies, campaigns, and product positioning for our range of crop protection solutions (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, seed treatments, etc.) in alignment with company objectives. The role drives market penetration, product adoption, and brand visibility, while supporting sales teams and engaging with farmers, offshore collaborators, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Market Development: Develop and execute marketing strategies for crop protection products to increase market share and profitability.
Branding & Promotion: Design and manage promotional campaigns (advertising, events, digital marketing, demo plots, farmer field days).
Channel & Stakeholder Engagement & Team Management: Work closely with distributors, dealers, and agro-input retailers to drive product distribution and availability.
Sales Support & Revenue Growth: Provide marketing intelligence and product knowledge to sales teams.
Data & Reporting: Track marketing ROI, campaign effectiveness, and customer satisfaction; provide regular market updates, forecasts, and competitor intelligence to management.
Research and Development Activities: Provide strategic direction for new products, service and solution development, working with team members in R & D unit.
Team Capacity building: Development with an appropriate capacity development programme for associates within the unit, working with the Human Resources Manager.

Qualification and Expertise
Minimum of a second-Class upper University degree, preferably in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Agribusiness, or Marketing (MBA is an added advantage in business, marketing, or management),
Must have at least 5-7 years of experience as a Marketing Manager either in marketing within agrochemicals, agribusiness, or crop protection industry, or in an FMCG environment
Knowledge of commodities marketing, route to market, and product promotion
Market Information Gathering, data analysis, and result presentation
Strong understanding of crop production, pest management, and farmer practices.
Proven ability in strategy development, product management, and marketing campaign execution.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements in agrochemicals is an asset.
