Head of Internal Control at Boctrust Microfinance Bank

• As the Head of Internal Control, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust internal control framework, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and safeguarding the company's assets. You will lead a team of professionals to conduct internal audits, identify control weaknesses, and recommend effective solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of risk management and the Microfinance Bank industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive internal control framework.
• Lead the internal audit function, including planning, execution, and reporting.
• Identify and assess risks, and recommend controls to mitigate them.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management and the board of directors.
• Manage and mentor the internal control team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIA) is a plus.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in an internal control or internal audit role, specifically within the Microfinance Bank industry.
• In-depth knowledge of internal control principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
