Head of Finance at Knowledgeware Technologies

Job Description

• We are looking for a highly accurate head of finance to oversee all financial and accounting activities
• The head of finance should demonstrate excellent leadership qualities and experience in financial strategies, accounting management, processes and maintaining the finances of the organization effectively and increasing profitability.

Core Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily activities of the Finance and Accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end processes and reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Provide reports to management on a regular basis on the activities managed.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Accounts and bank reconciliations.
• Manage the day to day accounting transactions; invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, book keeping, general ledger, utilities, payroll and alerting management about problem accounts.
• Reviewing, monitoring, and managing budgets.
• Allocating resources and recommending cost reduction strategies.
• Monitoring, evaluating and interpreting cash flow scenarios, predicting future financial trends, managing financial tasks, forecasting financial results, future earnings and expenses.
• Evaluating and initiating investments, and ensuring that investments and finances comply with regulations.
• Conducting and developing mechanism that minimize financial risk management, providing insights on the financial health of the organization, analyzing change and advising accordingly.
• Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the Inland Revenue.
• Liaising with external auditors; monitoring, coordinating and to ensure annual audits and tax filing for state and federal government are carried out, and comply with financial regulation.
• Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. / HND in Accounting or Finance
• ICAN / Similar Certification
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.

Skills:

• Knowledge of advanced computer software skills on MS Office, Excel, accounting software and databases.
• Ability to use Peachtree accounting package fluently, is compulsory.
• High numeracy and sound technical skills
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• Previous work experience as Accounting supervisor, Accounting Manager,or Finance Manager.

Salary
N80,000 - N150,000 monthly.
