Head of Credit at Catilas Resources Limited

We are seeking an experienced and strategic professional to join our microfinance bank as the Head of Credit. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to the credit department, overseeing all aspects of credit risk management, loan portfolio management, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial services to clients.

The Head of Credit will play a pivotal role in driving the bank's growth and maintaining a robust credit portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review loan requests.
• Assess clients’ financial status.
• Evaluate creditworthiness and risks.
• Contact clients to gather financial data and documentation.
• Analyze risks and approve or reject loan requests.
• Calculate financial ratios (e.g. credit scores and interest rates).
• Set up payment plans.
• Maintain updated records of loan applications.
• Follow up with clients about loan renewals.
• Monitor progress of existing loans.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in credit management within the financial industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of microfinance operations, credit risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
