    Head of Academics / Programs

    Job Overview:

    • Our Client in the educational sector is recruiting qualified candidates to fill the above position:
    • Reporting to the DG and working in harmony with the DG to foster the mission and vision of the school

    Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership, management and strategic planning for the school.
    • Design and ensure the quality of curriculum, meet the highest academic standard.
    • To organize and arrange teaching plans and examinations in line with the approved calendar of the school.
    • To initiate and maintain contact with the headship of departments and Dean of relevant faculties of the university.
    • To serve as the Academic Head of the university working in harmony and reporting to DG on all areas of responsibilities.
    • Conducting research and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals or other publications
    • Participating in institutional governance processes such as serving on committees or attending meetings
    • Providing administrative support services such as accounting, billing, and payroll processing
    • Administering and coordinating academic programs, such as designing curricula and teaching classes
    • Overseeing admissions processes and procedures to ensure that all students meet admissions standards
    • Developing and implementing academic policies, procedures, and standards for faculty members and students to follow
    • Reviewing student records to ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, and standards
    • Working with students individually or in groups to help them succeed academically
    • Determining appropriate course load based on a student’s academic history and ability level

    Educational Qualification and Requirements

    • PHD in any of the following disciplines
      • Political science
      • Public Admin
      • Sociology
    • Advanced degree in relevant subject as stated above
    • Substantial experience in academic management.
    • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
    • Ability to develop and implement educational strategies.
    • At least 10 years track record in academia 3 of which shall be as Dean in a reputable university or equivalent position.
    • Strong knowledge of political, and social sciences, strong administration, interpersonal and communication skill.
    • A self-starter, resourceful with a proven track record in establishing similar programs.
    • Agepreferably under 50 years old.
