Head, Maintenance at Poise and Etiquette

Job Duties

• Works with “The Company” management and the Quality Control team to ensure the effective development of a comprehensive quality management system that guides the end to end activities of the maintenance department.
• Identifies and monitors KPIs that guide the performance of the department in line with the approved quality management guidelines
• Provides leadership and direction to the team as well as develop and implement strategy designed to ensure that the maintenance department continues to help the business maximize ROI on items purchased.
• Develop and implement strategies poised to help the business field more mechanically fit buses, reduce maintenance spend, and guarantee a highly proficient workforce.
• Analyzes maintenance costs and provide recommendations on fleet utilization and replacement
• Implements fleet maintenance policies and procedures and ensuring compliance on corporate policies and SOP on fleet maintenance
• Ensures the maintenance records (such as job cards, maintenance logs etc.) for fleet are accurate and up to date
• Conducts performance reviews of maintenance staff and determine areas of development and training requirements
• Prepare regular weekly and monthly maintenance report and parts usage for management appraisal as required.
• Participate in the recruitment and selection of maintenance personnel
• Coordinates staff regarding work methods, techniques and proper use and operation of equipment
• Coach captains on identification of faults and ways of reporting or providing continuous, constructive feedback regarding performance of assets in transit
• Establishes schedules and methods for providing fleet maintenance and repair services in a timely and within-budget fashion
• Regular analysis of maintenance activities to determine overall performance of repair investment.
• Overseeing research activities to identify possible areas of improvement in terms of technology and repair technique
• Drive Pre-trip Inspection ( P.T.I ) across workshops and ensure highway breakdown is totally eradicated.

Requirements

• B.Sc/HND in Mechanical Engineering or any related course, from a reputable higher institution.
• Professional certificate in this field will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 8 years cognate experience functioning as a maintenance personnel with regards to automobile engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience functioning in a senior manager in the maintenance space
• Tech savvy as well as proficient in the use of modern technology and relevant Microsoft Office tools
• Good knowledge of data analysis
