Head, Internal Audit at Pedabo (Tax, Audit, Advisory)

• As Head of Internal Audit, the candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of the organisation’s internal controls, compliance with regulatory standards, and the overall effectiveness of its risk management processes.

Education

• A good first degree in any Accounting or Social Science course;
• A Master’s degree in a business-related field, finance or management is strongly preferred.

Professional Requirements

• A professional qualification in accounting such as ACA/ACCA;
• Any of the following additional qualifications will be preferred:
• Certified Internal Auditor
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• Certified fraud examination
• A professional in insurance such as CIIN or CII will be an added advantage
• Registration with the Financial Reporting Council

Experience

• Not less than 10 years post qualification experience, 8 years of which should be as an Internal Auditor and at least 5 years in a senior position;
• Experience in risk-based auditing methodology;
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office tools and accounting software;
• Data Analytical skills;
• Proven Knowledge of internal auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations;
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills;
• Experience in managing a team and dealing with clients;
• Experience in an insurance broking or underwriting firm will be preferred.
