Head, Internal Audit at Heirs Insurance Ltd

Job Description

• The Head, Internal Audit shall be responsible for development of all Audit strategies/framework based on Risk Based Audit (RBA) approach of NAICOM as well as institutionalize an annual plan and ensure that the departmental mandate and business goals are met.

Responsibilitie(s):

• Develop new methodologies of the audit process and implement of same
• Plan and supervise the execution of the Internal Audit activities, including the execution of the Audit plan; scheduling and assigning work and estimating resources needed.
• Evaluate and examine existing and new policies, procedures, and systems across the Company to ensure protection of same.
• Evaluate the reliability and integrity of information and financial records and ensure effective and efficient use of resources across the company.
• Collate periodic reports on review outcomes for the MD/CEO and the Board/Audit, Governance & Compliance Committee.
• Provide advisory services to Management and the Board

Qualification/Experience Requirement(s):

EDUCATION

• Minimum requirement: A Bachelors' degree from a reputable university in any relevant discipline
• Added advantage: MSc or MBA

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Requirement: 10 years cognate experience
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role at Management level - Knowledge of the Insurance Industry is compulsory
