Head, Credit Operations at Rivy (Formerly Payhippo)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement real timerisk assessments strategies for our internal loan approvals and credit limit adjustments.
• Develop and implement credit underwriting policies and procedures.
• Monitor credit worthiness of business using trend analysis.
• Perform risk assesments on potential loan recipients based on credit rating, borrowing history and other specific risk factors.
• Continously monitor loan portfolios to identify trends ,early warning signals and potential defaults.
• Apply quantitative and data analytics to enhance loan performance.
• Ensure financial leverage for Rivy through the portfolio loan management.
• Mitigate the company exposure to bad debts and ensure 100%compliance to regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting,Economics,Datascience, statistics or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in credit risk and lending operations ideally in Fintech,Microfinance,digital lendingor Energy finance
• Strong analytical thinking, team leadership, regulatory understanding and data drivendecisionmaking.
• Be knowledgeable in credit risk modelling , financial data analytics and cash flows for business.
• Great at managing liquidity, customer profiling ,working capital optimization and trade finance deals.
• Have strong business acumen and understanding of the Nigerian ecosystem
• Possess excellent communication anad decision making abilities.
