Role Summary
- The Head, Accounts & Finance is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and sustainable profitability across Bukka Hut’s multi-outlet operations.
- The role drives financial planning, cost optimization, compliance, and performance analytics to support business growth, expansion, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on financial planning, investments, and risk management.
- Lead long-term financial forecasting, scenario planning, and capital allocation decisions.
- Drive financial sustainability and profitability across all business units.
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Control:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasts.
- Monitor budgetary compliance across all departments and outlets.
- Implement cost-control measures to optimize operational efficiency and improve margins.
- Track and report key financial KPIs (e.g., cost ratios, revenue growth, profitability).
Financial Reporting & Performance Management:
- Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports with actionable insights.
- Establish financial dashboards to track outlet-level and corporate performance.
- Drive data-driven decision-making through financial analytics.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure business continuity.
- Optimize cash utilization across outlets and central operations.
- Oversee banking relationships, financing arrangements, and investment activities.
Cost Management & Operational Efficiency:
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across procurement, logistics, and operations.
- Monitor food cost, labour cost, and overhead expenses against benchmarks.
- Partner with Operations to improve unit economics and outlet profitability.
- Ensure inventory controls and minimize wastage, shrinkage, and variances.
Compliance, Audit & Risk Management:
- Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
- Lead internal and external audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Establish robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage financial risks, fraud prevention, and governance frameworks.
Payroll & Financial Operations Oversight:
- Oversee payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure seamless financial operations including accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations.
- Drive automation and process improvements in financial systems.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting:
- Present financial reports and insights to the Board and Executive Management.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders (auditors, tax authorities, banks).
- Provide financial guidance to department heads and business unit leaders.
Team Leadership & Capability Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
- Build a high-performance finance function with strong accountability and controls.
- Drive continuous learning, process discipline, and operational excellence within the team.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA is an advantage).
- Professional certification required (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 10–12 years’ experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong experience in QSR, FMCG, Retail, or multi-unit operations is highly preferred.
