Responsibilities

• Instruction: Teach proper letter formation (upper & lower case), consistent size, correct orientation, spacing, and pencil grip.
• Lesson Planning: Design creative, engaging lessons that build fine motor skills and integrate handwriting with literacy (phonics, spelling).
• Assessment: Monitor student progress, award pen licenses based on set criteria, and provide constructive feedback.
• Differentiation: Adapt teaching for various needs, including those with handwriting difficulties or different learning styles (e.g., right/left-handed).
• Environment: Create a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere where students take pride in their work.
• Collaboration: Communicate with parents and other teachers to support school-wide writing goals.
