    Guards Department Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Guards Department Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership over the company’s guard force operations across all zones.
    • This senior role involves supervising Zonal Coordinators, ensuring effective deployment, discipline, performance management, and client satisfaction.
    • The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced security professional with a strong background in managing large-scale guard operations and leading field teams in a structured, fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide overall leadership and direction to the Guards Department, overseeing all zonal operations.
    • Supervise Zonal Coordinators and ensure the effective management, deployment, and discipline of all guards.
    • Maintain manpower balance across sites, ensuring that client requirements are met promptly and efficiently.
    • Oversee guard performance, attendance, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Work closely with the Operations and HR teams on recruitment, training, and disciplinary processes.
    • Conduct periodic operational reviews, audits, and field inspections to maintain service quality.
    • Liaise with clients to address service issues, evaluate satisfaction, and maintain strong operational relationships.
    • Analyze manpower utilization, incident reports, and turnover trends to inform decision-making.
    • Implement strategies to reduce absenteeism, enhance retention, and improve service delivery.
    • Develop operational plans, budgets, and performance reports for management review.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of HND / BSc in Security Management, Criminology, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Proven experience leading large, geographically dispersed guard teams through middle managers or coordinators.
    • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in security operations management
    • Good knowledge of patrol systems, guard management, and general security operations.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
    • Strong understanding of manpower planning, deployment logistics, and client relationship management.
    • High level of integrity, sound judgment, and a proactive mindset.
    • Plus: Prior experience managing over 100+ guards through multiple zones or branches.
