Role Overview
This is not just a job — it’s a growth mandate. As Growth Lead, you will be at the forefront of W2A’s expansion journey, driving revenue, scaling our market presence, and positioning W2A as Africa’s trusted conduit for investment and trade.
You will build and lead a dynamic Growth Team, champion our brand, forge powerful partnerships, and turn our platforms into revenue engines. This role demands a strategic operator who can build while executing, rally diverse teams, and translate bold ideas into results that shape W2A’s next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation & Market Expansion
- Spearhead growth across all W2A offerings — from investment forums and trade facilitation to sponsorships and strategic advisory.
- Design and implement lead generation, sales funnels, and monetization strategies that unlock new revenue streams.
- Cultivate partnerships with corporates, DFIs, institutional investors, and government stakeholders in Africa and globally.
Brand Leadership, Marketing & Communications
- Own the W2A brand narrative — ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across all channels and touchpoints.
- Oversee multi-platform marketing, digital campaigns, content strategies, PR, and media engagement.
- Position W2A as a thought leader in Africa’s trade and investment space through storytelling, insights, and high-level representation.
Strategic Stakeholder & Government Engagement
- Develop and strengthen relationships with foreign missions, embassies, export councils, ministries, and multilateral partners.
- Champion cross-border collaborations and represent W2A at key industry events and high-level meetings.
Team Building & Leadership
- Build, mentor, and grow the Growth Department into a high-performing, results-oriented team.
- Set clear KPIs, align team objectives with W2A’s expansion roadmap, and foster a culture of accountability and innovation.
Cross-Departmental Alignment & Senior Leadership
- Collaborate with Finance & Strategy, Investment Facilitation, Programs & Events, W2A Capital, and W2A Trade to deliver integrated outcomes.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making and play an active role in shaping W2A’s global trajectory as part of the senior leadership team.
Who You Are
- A growth-focused strategist with 7–10+ years in business development, strategic marketing, or investment promotion — ideally in trade, consulting, or international development.
- Proven success in driving revenue, scaling brands, and managing high-level partnerships.
- An inspiring communicator with a talent for storytelling, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Adept at navigating government, diplomatic, and international stakeholder environments.
- Entrepreneurial, resilient, and excited to build a team, a brand, and a legacy that moves the needle for Africa’s economic transformation.
