Job Summary

• The Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) provides strategic financial leadership to the organization, ensuring long-term financial sustainability, operational excellence, and strong governance. Overseeing corporate finance functions including financial planning, reporting, treasury, tax, risk management, investor relations, and capital allocation, the role ensures compliance with financial standards, drives business performance, and serves as a key advisor to the CEO and Board.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization’s long-term financial strategy, leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board based on financial analysis and projections, guiding decisions on investments, capital structure, and growth opportunities.
• Oversee financial operations including accounting, audits, treasury, tax, and reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS/GAAP and regulatory requirements.
•  Monitor financial performance, improve profitability, cost efficiency, and return on capital, and lead corrective action where needed.
• Establish and monitor internal controls, identify and mitigate financial and operational risks, and ensure full compliance with regulatory, statutory, and corporate governance standards.
• Manage capital-raising initiatives (debt, equity, structured finance), oversee cash flow, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization, and maintain strong relationships with banks and investors.
• Partner with business units to drive financial discipline and decision-making, presenting financial insights to the Board and key stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting teams, building a high-performing finance organization that supports business growth.
•  Drive EMS and OH&S objectives, including a 10% decrease in total waste generation by 2026 and a 20% reduction in Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) by the end of the next fiscal year.

Requirements
Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• ACCA, CPA, ACA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• 12–18+ years of progressive experience in senior finance roles.
• Strong record in financial strategy, corporate finance, and capital management.
• Experience in risk management, compliance, and financial operations.
• Prior experience in leadership roles within large or complex organizations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, forecasting, and analytics.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• High integrity, sound judgment, and executive presence.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree (MBA, MSc Finance) is an added advantage.
