    GM Finance

    Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities

    Strategy

    • Act as a business partner to the CFO and other divisional heads, assessing the organizational performance against the annual budgets and the company’s long-term strategy.
    • Develop tools and systems to provide the CFO with critical financial and operational information and make actionable recommendations on strategy and operations.
    • Engage the board finance, audit and investment committees around issues, trends, and operational model and delivery changes.
    • Assist in establishing yearly objectives and meeting agendas selecting and engaging outside consultants (Auditors and management and tax consultants)
    • Oversee long-term planning and budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with the company strategic plan.

    Financial Planning and Analysis

    • Prepare and maintain regular financial reports. Monthly profit and loss forecasts by division (Vs Budget), weekly cash flow forecast.
    • Analysis of financial results
    • Develop and maintain capital budget.
    • Assist in the development of financial planning and Analysis/reports.

    Finance

    • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
    • Oversee cash investment and asset management.
    • Oversee financial strategies activities as well as banking relationships.
    • Develop and utilize forward-looking financial models and activity-based financial analysis and provide insight into the organization’s operations and insight plans.

    Accounting and Administration

    • Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function
    • Supervision and mentoring of all the finance staff.
    • Ensure proper internal controls and financial procedures.
    • Coordinate Audits and filling of tax returns.
    • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.  

    Receivables/Assets

    • Possess a first degree preferably in Accounting, MBA is an added advantage.
    • Possess professional accounting certifications ICAN/ACCA.
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in financial with at least 2 years audit experience
    • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools and other account software i-e SAGE.Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
    • Excellent communication skills (including written, oral and presentation skills)
