Job Summary

• We are seeking a passionate and experienced Geography Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students through innovative teaching methods while ensuring academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Assess and evaluate students' progress through tests, assignments, and examinations.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods, including technology integration, to enhance student understanding.
• Provide academic support and mentorship to students as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve teaching strategies and resources.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.
• Participate in school activities, events, and professional development programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification or certification (e.g., PGDE, TRCN certification) is an added advantage.
• 3- 6 years of proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary school level.
• Excellent knowledge of Geography concepts and the ability to simplify complex topics.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and teaching aids.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must reside in Ibadan or its surrounding areas.
