Geographic Information System Analyst at FiberOne Broadband

Data Acquisition and Management:

• Collect, compile, and validate geospatial data from various sources such as service delivery, Project, Sales, Planning and Metro.
• Develop and maintain databases to organize and manage spatial datasets effectively.
• Ensure data integrity and quality by performing data validation and cleaning processes.

Spatial Analysis and Modelling:

• Conduct spatial analysis using GIS software to identify patterns, trends, and relationships within geographic data.
• Utilize spatial modeling techniques to simulate real-world scenarios and predict outcomes.
• Perform overlay analysis, proximity analysis, and network analysis to solve spatial problems and address FTTH business needs.

Map Creation and Visualization:

• Design and create maps, charts, and other visualizations to communicate spatial information effectively.
• Customize map layouts and symbology to meet project requirements and stakeholder preferences.
• Develop interactive web maps and applications for data dissemination and decision support.

Geodatabase Design and Development:

• Design and implement geodatabases to store and manage spatial data efficiently.
• Define data schema, feature classes, and relationships within the geodatabase structure.
• Establish data maintenance workflows and versioning strategies to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

GIS Application Development:

• Develop custom GIS Web  applications and tools using programming languages such as Python, R, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Integrate GIS functionalities into existing software systems and workflows.
• Automate repetitive tasks and streamline GIS processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Support:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their GIS requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Offer technical support and training to users on GIS software, tools, and methodologies.
• Communicate GIS findings and recommendations to diverse audiences through presentations, reports, and demonstrations.
