    General Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Launch and oversee day-to-day operations with the support of Corporate Exco; assign performance goals and ensure their completion.
    • Be the guarantor of the P&L accuracy and of the budget monthly follow up.
    • Drive, manage and control all activities in the entity, in compliance with the strategy and fundamentals of the company's Business Model and Operating Model.
    • Represent the interests of the company in the country, in compliance with the Group's delegation rules: local authorities, economic community, major clients, partners, subsidiaries of the Vivendi group, etc.
    • Implement in the entity the strategic marketing plan, the annual marketing plan, the annual commercial action plan, and the annual communication plan of the company.
    • Ensure the accurate application of the pricing policy, the sales force commissioning policy, and the remuneration policy of the company partners.
    • Implement and ensure the application of Group policies and processes.
    • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
    • Monitor market and industry trends to determine business opportunities and challenges
    • Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share.
    • Leaf and conduct the Executive committee of the entity.
    • Maintain a good social environment and good relationships with the union representatives.

       Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role (COO, CCO) in Sub Saharan Africa.
    • Strong analytical ability and excellent communication skills.
    • Business oriented and entrepreneurial spirit.
    • Problem-solving aptitude.
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Hands-on leader with a “can do” attitude.
    • Significant knowledge in the telecommunications sector or in the mass distribution of technology-based products and services is a strong asset.
    • Fluency in English. Proficiency in a vernacular language is an asset.
