Gateway Assistant at GIG Logistics

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about logistics operations? We are looking for a proactive Gateway Assistant to support the efficient movement, sorting, processing, and dispatch of shipments within our logistics network while ensuring operational accuracy and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, sort, scan, and process inbound and outbound shipments in line with operational procedures.
• Support the loading, offloading, consolidation, and dispatch of shipments to ensure timely movement across the logistics network.
• Verify shipment details and ensure accurate documentation, scanning, and tracking of all parcels.
• Monitor shipment movement and promptly report discrepancies, damaged items, or operational exceptions.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and support periodic stock reconciliation exercises.
• Coordinate with Hub Operations, Fleet, Branch Operations, and Customer Experience teams to facilitate seamless shipment processing.
• Ensure the Gateway is clean, organized, and compliant with health, safety, and operational standards.
• Support the achievement of operational KPIs, including shipment accuracy, turnaround time, and dispatch efficiency.
• Prepare operational records and reports as required by Management.
• Perform other operational duties assigned to support efficient Gateway operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s Degree, HND, OND, or equivalent qualification in any discipline.
• Minimum of 1–2 years\' experience in logistics, warehousing, courier services, inventory management, or a related operations role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of shipments accurately.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management, shipment tracking, and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP, or logistics software is an added advantage.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays where required.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in logistics, courier services, warehousing, e-commerce fulfilment, supply chain operations, or distribution centres will be highly preferred.
