The successful candidate will be responsible for quality assurance and control during pipeline construction, ensuring adherence to industry codes, welding standards, pipeline integrity protocols, and project management best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement QA/QC processes for pipeline projects.
Oversee pipeline integrity testing and ensure compliance with ASME B31.8, B31.3, and API 1104 standards.
Prepare and review welding procedures, NDT procedures, and pipeline quality management plans.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, material specifications, and project quality objectives.
Perform pre-qualification and evaluation of welders, welding techniques, and NDT personnel.
Work closely with project teams to maintain quality control, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct site inspections, defect analysis, and pipeline failure investigations.
Implement documentation and reporting processes for quality compliance and audits.
Travel frequently to Southwest Nigeria and other project sites as required.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
3–5 years of continuous experience in pipeline construction supervision and QA/QC management.
Strong knowledge of ASME B31.8, B31.3, and API 1104, BS 4515, and ISO 9001 standards.
Expertise in pipeline integrity testing, stakeholder management, and project execution.
Ability to prepare and review welding procedures, NDT procedures, and quality assurance plans.
Experience with hydrostatic testing, radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), and dye penetrant testing (PT).
Project Management certification (PMI) is an added advantage.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to train, supervise, and certify inspection personnel.
Willingness to travel frequently to project sites across Nigeria.
