Functional Tester at Tezza Business Solutions Ltd

Job Summary

• Tezza Business Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Functional Tester to join our Quality Assurance team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating business requirements through systematic testing of software applications.
• You will ensure that functionalities perform as expected and meet end-user needs across both web and mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to validate system functionalities.
• Execute manual functional tests on web, desktop, and mobile applications.
• Document and report defects clearly, and follow up with the development team for resolution.
• Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing after code changes or deployments.
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities.
• Participate in sprint planning, review, and daily stand-ups as part of the Agile process.
• Ensure test coverage across multiple modules, including positive, negative, and edge test cases.
• Provide input into UAT planning and support end-user testing when necessary.
• Maintain test documentation and ensure traceability between requirements and test cases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI is an advantage.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks (even at a basic level) is a bonus.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing or QA roles.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC).
• Experience testing web and mobile applications across various browsers and devices.
• Proficiency with tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, Jira, Confluence, or similar.
• Ability to write and execute detailed test cases and test scripts.
• Solid understanding of functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
