Front-End Developer at Comercio Partners

Role Summary

• Our IT/Innovation team builds and runs the digital products behind Comercio's retail and institutional offerings, and we are growing the team with people who take ownership and ship quality work.
• We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Frontend Developer to build and enhance responsive, accessible, and high-performing web and mobile web applications across Comercio Partners’ digital platforms. The successful candidate will translate designs into production-ready interfaces, collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend engineers, and contribute to reusable components, robust application architecture, and high standards of code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user-facing features for both web and mobile web applications.
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to create seamless, responsive, and mobile-friendly applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript with React and Angular.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and mobile performance.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs across various devices, browsers, and screen sizes.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Build and maintain reusable components in line with Comercio's design system and brand guidelines.
• Write automated tests (unit and component level) and support end-to-end testing with the QA team.
• Integrate with backend APIs securely, handling authentication, error states, and loading states gracefully.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant experience in frontend development for web and mobile web applications.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with practical experience using React and Angular.
• Good understanding of responsive design, web accessibility standards, browser compatibility, and frontend performance optimisation.
• Experience with RESTful API integration, Git-based version control, and collaborative development workflows.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver quality solutions within agreed timelines.
• Experience with component libraries, design systems, Storybook, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and frontend deployments on AWS.
• Experience developing financial services interfaces, including investment dashboards, financial charts, and digital onboarding workflows.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and their effective use in software delivery.
