Welcoming patients and visitors and managing telephone calls
Managing appointments: scheduling appointments and keeping those appointments on time
Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation
Managing the reception ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat, clean, and calm; reporting on any damage
Comforting distressed patients: this may range from simply fixing any appointment issues that may arise to responding to distressed patients with compassion.
Ensure that the patient's right to confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Ensure that every person who visits the hospital, be it a patient or a visitor, leaves as a satisfied customer.
Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner.
Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
Perform other clerical and administrative assistant duties as may be directed.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum academic qualification is a National diploma in communication - related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience as a receptionist, front desk officer, customer service officer or similar role
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office application tools
Hands-on experience with office equipment
Professional attitude and appearance
Candidate demeanor must exude decorum
Must Possess very good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
