Key Responsibilities

• Reading all prescribed novels, poetry, and additional resources to gain a thorough understanding of them before developing lesson plans and curricula.
• Collaborating with other Language department staff to develop lesson plans, teaching strategies, and interventions.
• Preparing students for formal and informal assessments.
• Grading tests, pop quizzes, assignments, exams, and other assessments, and communicating with parents, students, teachers, and counsellors regarding underperformance and other concerns.
• Organising guest speakers, literary events, and field trips.
• Keeping abreast of current events and incorporating them and related themes into lessons to make them more relevant to students.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in French with minimum of 3 years experience.
• Solid grounding in classroom management and school procedures.
• Solid knowledge of subject matter, including subject - specific curriculum and assessments.
• Proficient in the use of technology and computer applications as required.
• Up - to - date with the latest teaching techniques and topics in French instruction.
• Deep understanding of the national curriculum and French language requirements.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• A patient and resilient personality.
• 21st - century teaching skills.
• TRCN certification is an added advantage.
