French Speaking / Writing Translator at CredPal

Job Description

• We are looking to hire a French speaking and writing translator who will be responsible for translating, interpreting written and oral business documents, making sure to maintain their original meaning, format and tone.

Key Deliverables

• Reviewing documents and researching industry-specific terminology.
• Converting verbal and written documents in English to French Language.
• Ensuring translated texts conveys original meaning and tone.
• Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check quality of translation as necessary.
• Proofread translated texts.
• Follow up with Management to ensure translation needs are met
• Assist management in telephone meetings with French/English or English/French interpretation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in French, Communications or related field.
• 2- 4 years of experience as a French Translator.

Preferred Requirements:

• Proven translation and editing skills.
• Excellent communication in French, written and verbal.
• Excellent command of English, to be able to interpret correctly.
• Excellent command of the French language, equivalent to that of an educated native speaker.
• Aware of linguistic and cultural differences within the French language
• Good Analytical Skills.
• Familiarity with translation software.
