Job Summary

The fractionation Operator ensures the production of high-quality vegetable oil products. You are responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the fractionation equipment while strictly adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and housekeeping protocols. Your attention to detail and commitment to hygiene are essential to the success of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Fractionation Process Operation: Operate and oversee the fractionation process, including the use of fractionation towers, filters, and separators, ensuring optimal efficiency and product quality. Monitor process parameters, making necessary adjustments to maintain consistent production and product specifications. Conduct regular checks on equipment functionality and report any malfunctions or deviations from operational standards.
• Operational Excellence: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistent product quality. Conduct routine checks on machinery, promptly reporting any malfunctions or abnormalities.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Control team to conduct routine quality checks on fractionated products, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. Development and implementation of quality assurance measures to enhance product quality and consistency.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintenance and calibration of refining equipment to ensure proper functionality and reliability, and Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly. Keep equipment in optimal working condition to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Hygiene and Housekeeping: Adhere to strict hygiene protocols and GMP guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitized working environment. Perform routine cleaning of equipment to prevent contamination and ensure product purity.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment adjustments, and quality control checks. Prepare daily shift reports, documenting production quantities, quality observations, and any operational challenges encountered.

The Person

• National Diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in food processing or related fields are a plus. 
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fractionation operations within a vegetable oil processing plant or a similar industry.
• Proficiency in operating fractionation equipment, understanding of process control systems, and ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Ability to conduct precise quality checks, maintain accurate records, adjust processing parameters, and ensure cleanliness in the processing area, meeting GMP cleanliness standards.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess process data, identify inefficiencies, and propose effective solutions, and documentation.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report operational status effectively.
