Fleet Supervisor at Eastern Plains Integrated Farms Limited

JOB SUMMARY

• The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the company’s vehicle fleet, ensuring optimal maintenance, efficient scheduling, and compliance with transport regulations. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee fleet maintenance, servicing, inspections, and repairs, ensuring vehicles remain roadworthy, safe, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Manage vehicle allocation, driver schedules, and daily fleet operations to ensure effective vehicle utilisation.
• Monitor driver performance, behaviour, and compliance using GPS/tracking systems, and coordinate driver safety and efficiency training.
• Manage fuel consumption, mileage, and fuel records, implementing controls to prevent misuse, fraud, and unnecessary costs.
• Plan and optimise routes, delivery schedules, and vehicle deployment to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimise vehicle idle time.
• Maintain accurate fleet, maintenance, fuel, mileage, driver, and compliance records and prepare relevant operational reports.
• Monitor fleet-related costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency while maintaining safety and service standards.

QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS

• HND or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in fleet operations, transport, or logistics management.
• Proven experience in vehicle maintenance scheduling, fuel management, driver supervision, and fleet cost control.
• Working knowledge of GPS/vehicle tracking systems, transport regulations, and fleet compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage fleet resources efficiently, monitor operational costs, and ensure safe and reliable vehicle operations.
