Fleet Officer at Fort Knox Group

Salary: ₦250,000 Gross Monthly

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the company\'s fleet of vehicles. 
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure maximum vehicle availability. 
• Monitor vehicle servicing, repairs, inspections, licensing, and insurance renewals. 
• Track vehicle usage, fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance costs. 
• Supervise and manage fleet drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies and road safety regulations. 
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and vehicle breakdowns, and implement corrective actions. 
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements relating to fleet operations. 
• Maintain accurate fleet records, including maintenance history, registration, insurance, and fuel logs. 
• Negotiate with vendors and service providers to obtain cost-effective maintenance and repair services. 
• Monitor fleet performance using GPS tracking and fleet management systems where applicable. 
• Prepare periodic reports on fleet performance, operational costs, and maintenance activities. 
• Recommend strategies for improving fleet efficiency and reducing operational expenses. 
• Ensure company vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and professionally presented at all times. 

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree or HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. 
• Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in fleet management or transportation operations. 
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fleet administration, and transport regulations. 
• Experience supervising drivers and managing fleet-related documentation. 
• Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics and preventive maintenance practices.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. 
• Experience using fleet management software or GPS tracking systems is an added advantage. 
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities. 
• Valid driver\'s licence with good driving experience is an added advantage.
