Fleet and Logistics Supervisor at ESOSA Food System

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the routine maintenance, repairs, and licensing of the entire delivery fleet (bikes.).
• Manage fuel consumption, track mileage, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage the scheduling and dispatch of drivers/riders from the hub for last-mile delivery.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of drivers, riders, and dispatch personnel.
• Monitor performance, enforce safe driving practices, and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Ensure proper handling and loading of baked goods, strictly maintaining the cold chain or specific temperature requirements during transit to prevent spoilage.
• Coordinate with the hub supervisors to ensure orders are ready and accurately matched for dispatch.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Logistics & Supply Chain Knowledge: Deep understanding of logistics processes, route planning, and fleet maintenance, ideally in a perishable goods environment.
• Team Leadership & Management: Proven ability to lead and motivate a large team of field staff (drivers/riders).
• Technology Proficiency: Experience with GPS tracking systems, route optimization software, and inventory tools.
• Problem-Solving: Strong ability to quickly resolve real-time logistics issues (e.g., traffic, vehicle breakdowns, dispatch errors).
• Financial Acumen: Ability to manage a logistics budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in local dialects for team management being a plus.

Educational Qualification

• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in: Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transport Management, Operations Management, or any related field.
