Fish Farm Supervisor at Royal SFI Farms

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, experienced, and hardworking Fish Farm Supervisor to oversee daily farm operations and ensure that fish production targets are achieved.

The supervisor will monitor fish growth and feeding, supervise farm workers, maintain accurate production records, oversee grading and other farm activities, and work closely with the farm team to ensure efficient production and healthy fish.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the fish farm.
• Monitor fish growth, weight, survival, and overall condition.
• Accurately record growth, feeding, mortality, stocking, grading, and other production data.
• Monitor feeding to ensure the correct quantity, timing, and feed size are used.
• Supervise and coordinate farm workers and ensure assigned duties are properly carried out.
• Oversee fish grading, sorting, counting, stocking, and transfer activities.
• Monitor water quality and report any unusual changes or risks affecting the fish.
• Identify signs of stress, disease, poor growth, or unusual fish behaviour and report promptly.
• Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of ponds, tanks, equipment, and the general farm environment.
• Work with management and other farm staff to achieve weekly and monthly production targets.
• Ensure farm procedures and instructions are properly followed.
• Participate actively in farm operations when required.
• Maintain accurate daily farm records and provide regular reports to management.
• Monitor feed usage and minimize feed wastage.
• Ensure proper handling and care of fish during all farm activities.
• Report farm challenges, losses, equipment issues, and other important observations to management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in fish farming or aquaculture is required.
• Experience supervising farm workers is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of catfish production, feeding, grading, and fish handling.
• Ability to keep accurate records and work with basic data.
• Must be observant, responsible, disciplined, and physically fit.
• Must be able to work independently and lead a team.
• Must be willing to actively participate in farm activities.
